DWYANE WADE EARNED himself a one-game suspension for ‘flailing his leg and making contact with the groin’ of Charlotte Bobcats point guard Ramon Sessions.
The Miami Heat star lashed out at Sessions near the end of his side’s 105-92 win over the Bobcats, leaving Sessions in a crumpled heap.
The incident was relatively minor but, as ESPN point out, it is the seventh time Wade has fun afoul of the NBA authorities in recent seasons.
In other NBA news, the Brooklyn Nets have sacked coach Avery Johnson.
After a strong start to their first season in Brooklyn, the Nets have lost 10 of 13 games to fall well behind the first-place New York Knicks.
It will be an unhappy New Year for Johnson but an embarrassing one for the Santa Claus that planted his face into the rim while entertaining Chicago Bulls fans with trampoline-powered slam dunks:
