Watch: Dustin Johnson's wild tee-shot cannons off a spectator's head and into a food tent

And he still somehow managed to salvage a par.

WHEN IT COMES to Dustin Johnson and a Major championship, there will always be drama.

So often in the mix, the American has regularly found a way to implode down the final stretch and he was forced to do some serious scrambling last night as he looks to exorcise those demons.

After opening his third round with a birdie, Johnson played cautiously, opting for a six-iron off the tee on the second, but proceeded to snap hook it left and crack an unsuspecting spectator on the noggin.

The ball ricocheted further left and ended up in a hotdog tent. Thankfully, the fan appeared to be okay and gave the camera a thumbs up.

After a desperate search for his ball, Johnson ended up dropping behind the tent and somehow managed to save par and maintain his then two-shot lead.

But he double-bogeyed the next and now finds himself three off the pace, led by Shane Lowry, with five holes of his third round remaining.

Anything could happen yet.
