Meath club pay tribute to Tunisia terror attack victim

Lorna Carty played an important role in Dunderry GAA club.

A MEATH GAA club has paid a touching tribute to Lorna Carty, the Irish woman killed in a terror attack in Tunisia yesterday.

A nurse from Robinstown, County Meath, she was heavily involved in Dunderry GAA club where both her children played and her husband, Declan is treasurer.

And last night, the club rallied behind the Carty family:

“Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of Lorna Carty tonight.

“Lorna was always there to give a helping hand with all of our teams and events. She was greatly loved in our community and will be dearly missed.

“Her husband Declan is treasurer of the club, Simon her son plays football and hurling with the club and is currently part of the Meath senior football panel, Hazel her daughter played camogie with the club.

“Please keep Lorna and her family in your prayers.

“You will be dearly missed Lorna. Rest in Peace.”

Other GAA clubs have followed suit in paying respect to the Carty family:
