DUNDALK STAR RICHIE Towell has gone on trial with Championship side Cardiff City, according to reports.
Towell, whose contract with the Irish side expires in October, has impressed this season during Dundalk’s Airtricity League title-winning campaign, proving an influential presence in midfield.
And should Towell earn himself a contract, it won’t be his first spell in Britain. As a younger player, the Dubliner joined Celtic, but found first-team opportunities limited, and returned home after being released following an ultimately unsuccessful loan spell at Hibernian.

DUNDALK STAR RICHIE Towell has gone on trial with Championship side Cardiff City, according to reports.

And the 23-year-old now looks set to be given a chance across the water, with Wales Online reporting that he has trained with the Bluebirds this week and is set to feature in their development game against Chelsea this Thursday.
