A RUNNER WHO suffered a heart attack following Monday’s Dublin City Marathon has died.
Ricki Savage, from Thanet Roadrunners Athletic Club on England’s east coast, collapsed on Merrion Square after finishing the 26.2 mile run in a time of three hours and 10 minutes.
In a statement released this evening, Marathon organisers commended the work of St John Ambulance and St Vincent’s Hospital.

Savage, an experienced distance runner completing his first Marathon, was said to be in a ‘stable but serious’ condition until his untimely death this afternoon.
