DUBLIN GAA HAVE today unveiled the new jersey that their inter-county sides will be wearing this summer.
Ahead of their 2016 championship campaigns, the Dubs are set to don a new strip which will be worn by their football, hurling, ladies football and camogie sides.
The major alteration to the kit sees the navy collar and the navy stripes on the sleeves replaced with a white collar and white stripes.
The new design will be unveiled officially at an event this morning at the AIG Head Office in Dublin and will be available to buy from www.oneills.com from tomorrow 13 May onwards.
The press release for the new jersey also notes that:
The back of the kit features a charming inclusion of Gaelic with the words “Áth Cliath” embroidered above 3 shortened stripes.”
What do you think of the new jersey? Let us know.

How do they get away with using the 3 stripe branding I always vwonder
3 stripe branding is allowed in Ireland only as it’s o neills Trademark aswell ! However they can’t put 3 stripes on anything for the worldwide market ! Ie Harlequins rugby ! Adidas have the global rights for the 3 stripes I think it was a agreement between the two companies way back !
Unrelated news here but there’s something big going on with Addidas I think, they’re planning on selling up their entire golf business (Taylor Made) and have just ceased their sponsorship with Chelsea. I’ll be interested to see if any more comes of this.
There was a court case on this in 1985 as adidas sued on the basis of o’neills using the 3 strips on (I think) cork jerseys. The court held that the trademark of the three strips cannot apply in the context of the Irish market as o’neills jerseys in those days were marketed only on Ireland. However o’neills products being shipped abroad must not have the three stripes as same offends the worldwide copyright of adidas
O Neills secured the rights to use the 3 stripes only in Ireland in agreement with Adidas! If u see any northern team, they never have 3 stripes on leisure wear!
It was on foot of a court judgement. If adidas had their way o’neills wouldn’t have the right to use the three stripes full stop. Hence the court case.
Looks nice , don’t think it’s gonna matter what jersey they have . Still gonna win the all Ireland
It’s bleeding lovely bud
Next time your pissing in the snow.. I hope your nob freezes up & drops off.
Your man on the left has that vacant look in his eyes that would easily be confused for a bogger. Like a cow that’s been asked to do trigonometry.
Ah now I’m sure if you asked a lot of Dubs to do it they wouldn’t have a clue to do it either.eh blue what do you call a in your own words a “bogger” at work??
Boss
@Gabby, And ill bet you are one of them fine culchie women taking it up the rasher in Coppers after a Championship hammering
Dublin are becoming more like the soccer it seems. A different jersey every year
Because they know they’ll sell bundles of them..even outside of Dublin.
Ha ha. Sell them outside of Dublin? If they stock that light blue pansy lingerie in Connacht there would be stern words.
You may feel as strongly about your county as I do (Wicklow for my sins) but I see more Dublin jerseys being worn in my county by Wicklow folk than I do our own Jersey! It’s chronic.
Shameful stuff. We need to build a big wall to keep them in. We will call it the Pale and make the Dubs build it.
This is their first new jersey in two and a half years. Last jersey was released around Nov 2013. Same as any other county really
Marcus you’ll be wanting a little gap in the wall for the subsidy train leaving the city.
Happy days.. I’ll head down to the O’Neills factory shop on Saturday and get all the old gear half price..
Should be a bit of navy in it somewhere
There is at the side of the jersey
It’s on the shorts.
Traditionally the dubs always had sky blue and white. Return to white a nice nod to pre 1970s dubs teams.
Oh no no no no. Far too bright. Looks like a kid’s jersey.
Yeah I’m not sure about it at all.
So the exact same jersey except with white collar and stripes. The designer must have been hungover on deadline day
They look delighted to be wearing the Jersey. Wouldn’t hurt them to smile
Loving the tramp stamp at the back. You stay classy Dublin…
Right back at ya Mike.
Stunning they are the origins colours from way back
Should have gone to whole way back to the 60s early 70s and gone with white shorts . Looks well and more importantly we are still world champions .Up the Dubs
I agree about returning to white shorts.
Expected it to be made by Adidas tbh
They’re not allowed make them unless they’re an Irish company as far as I know
No, Kerry’s were made by Adadias a while back.
Adidas!!! Spot the Dub who can’t spell…
Glad they stuck with o Neills.. No need to have jerseys made by adidas or puma when o Neills can make this..
I’d rather wear an England jersey than a Dublin one.
Me too actually
Bitter much?
Won’t be easy getting the Guinness stains out.
Nice detail on the back….gives the other counties something to read.
Jayses bleeedin deadly so it is
Don’t mind what they wear once they keep on winning.
Its really really nice
Every s**mbag in Dublin will be wearing one
Jayses bleedin deeadly so it is
The spire on it makes it whopper. Mon da dubs
Love it.
Love it!,
