MAYBE WE’RE LATE to the party but looking at the Dublin player profiles ahead of the All-Ireland final with Kerry, you have to applaud the novelty of their childhood sporting heroes.

While there are a few predictable enough choices such as Roy Keane and Muhammad Ali, others have opted for more left-field choices, including former Croatia and Real Madrid striker Davor Suker, American boxer Butterbean and Viktor Krum (from Harry Potter).
