LEINSTER GAA OFFICIALS are expected to confirm tonight that All-Ireland senior football champions Dublin will play a championship game outside of Croke Park next year.
The Sky Blues haven’t been on the road in the championship since scraping past Longford by two points at Glennon Brothers Pearse Park in 2006.

Nowlan Park in Kilkenny has been touted as a possible venue for a 2016 Leinster SFC quarter-final against the winners of the Laois-Wicklow tie.
And in a recent interview, Dublin Allstar forward and International Rules skipper Bernard Brogan admitted that he would jump at the chance to play there.

Laois have been agitating for a potential home fixture with the Dubs at O’Moore Park if they overcome the Wicklow hurdle but with a greater seating capacity at Nowlan Park, that venue is expected to get the nod.
“Leinster GAA can confirm that a meeting of the Council at Áras Laighean on Wednesday, November 11 will decide upon venues and dates for matches in the 2016 Leinster senior hurling and football championships,” a Leinster Council statement reads.
“Any speculation regarding these decisions and where matches will take place is entirely premature.
“Leinster GAA wishes to emphasise that it will be the delegates at the meeting on Wednesday who will meet and decide on where the championship fixtures will take place.
“The full schedule of games and their venues and dates will be made available to the public after the meeting on November 11.”
