Dublin calling: Aviva confirmed as semi venue for Munster v Ulster winners

The European Rugby Cup announces that the victors of Sunday’s Heineken Cup clash will play at Lansdowne Road

THE TEAM THAT emerges triumphant from Sunday’s Heineken Cup quarter-final clash between Ulster and Munster will play at the Aviva Stadium on Saturday, April 28.

The ERC confirmed this afternoon that the Lansdowne Road stadium will host either of the Irish sides and the winners of Edinburgh and Toulouse.

Munster have played twice in the Aviva Stadium since it was transformed from the old Lansdowne Road venue – losing to Leinster on both occasions (October 2010 and November 2011).

Leinster would face Saracens or Clermont Auvergne at Twickenham on Sunday, April 29 if they can overcome Cardiff Blues at the Aviva on Saturday.

Twickenham, the venue for the Heineken Cup Final in May, previously played host to a semi-final when Tolouse and London Irish clashed in 2008.

Competition: Win a pair of tickets to Leinster’s Heineken Cup quarter-final

Muller: We won’t make the same mistakes on Sunday
