PORTLAOISE MADE IT eight Laois SFC titles in-a-row with a relatively comfortable 2-14 to 0-9 win over Arlse Killeen in today’s decider.
Paul Cahillane’s goal late in the second half rounded off the win and completed a remarkable achievement for the Laois kingpins.

In the Kerry club championship final, Dr. Crokes exacted revenge on their parish rivals Killarney Legion for their defeat in the county championship with a 4-13 to 1-9 win.
Crokes bagged two early goals through Ambrose O’Donovan and Kieran O’Leary to move into a 2-1 to 0-1 lead, but Legion pulled it back to a two point gap at the break.
Recent All-Ireland winners Johnny Buckley and James O’Donoghue traded goals for their respective sides during the second half. Ambrose O’Donovan’s second goal rounded off an impressive win.
Finally in Waterford, The Nire were five point winners over Stradbally in the SFC final.
They will play Limerick champions Ballylanders in the Munster club championship after they delivered a first title since 2008.
