Doon CBS reach first Dr Harty Cup final in 83 years

They will face Ardscoil Rís in that final on the weekend of February 22nd-23rd.

Doon CBS 0-15
Rochestown College 1-9

IT’LL BE AN all-Limerick affair in this year’s Dr Harty Cup final after Doon CBS booked their place in the decider this afternoon.

Doon CBS had three points to spare at the final whistle in Charleville over Cork outfit Rochestown College to ensure they will contest the school’s first final since 1931.

They will face Ardscoil Rís in that final on the weekend of February 22nd-23rd.

Doon CBS lead by 0-7 to 0-4 at half-time in difficult weather conditions for hurling after having enjoyed a 0-3 to 0-1 advantage by the 20th minute mark.

They had stretched that advantage to six points, 0-13 to 0-7, with just five minutes remaining and despite the concession of a late goal, Doon CBS held on for glory.
