QUESTION-MARKS HANG over this Sunday’s Donegal senior football final as Naomh Conaill have confirmed an appeal into last weekend’s semi-final loss to Glenswilly.
The Glenties based outfit are claiming that Glenswilly’s Ciaran Bonner should have been dismissed after he was both yellow and black-carded during the course of the match, which Glenswilly won 0-10 to 0-8 in Letterkenny on Sunday.
It is understood that referee Jimmy White has included in his match report that Bonner did receive a yellow card prior to his black card. New rules introduced this year mean that any player who receives a yellow and then black card cannot be replaced.

St Eunan’s from Letterkenny, who overcame St Michael’s of Dunfanaghy last Saturday night 1-12 to 2-8 in the first of the semi-final ties, are preparing to meet reigning champions Glenswilly this Sunday at 4pm in Ballybofey.
Black Card
When Bonner was black-carded two minutes from time, Glenswilly led 0-8 to 0-7 and Oisin Crawford was introduced as his replacement to the fray seconds before Dermot Molloy levelled up the contest for Naomh Conaill at 0-8 apiece.
Glenswilly, who had earlier lost captain Coalan Kelly to a straight red card for a late challenge on Stephen Molloy, edged a point up in injury time with, ironically, Bonner’s replacement Crawford the scorer.
Gary McDaid’s Glenswilly grabbed another score on the break from Eamonn Ward to confirm their two-point win.
