LEGENDARY KILKENNY HURLER DJ Carey will be part of Newstalk’s sports coverage during this year’s All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship and league.
Starting later this month, the five-time All-Ireland winner and nine-time Allstar will contribute to Off The Ball as an analyst and will be part of the show’s outside broadcasts.
While Newstalk sports editor Adrian Barry looked forward to the ‘unrivalled insight’ Carey can bring to the studio, the 44-year-old ex-Kilkenny star said:
“I’m hoping that my experience both on and off the field will provide a new dimension to the GAA coverage. It will be a great challenge, but one which I’m relishing, and I’m sure we will also have some fun along the way.”
