In at centre-back, Canty is one of four changes made by Conor Counihan to the side which lost to Dublin in Croke Park on opening weekend.
St Finbarr’s Michael Shields gets the nod in the full-back line alongside Eoin Cadogan and Jamie O’Sullivan while Alan O’Connor is preferred alongside Aidan Walsh in midfield.
Ciaran Sheehan comes in at wing-forward to replace John O’Rourke who drops to the bench.

Down lost by three points to Tyrone last Saturday but McCartan has shown faith in the same players with Donal O’Hare, who hit 1-3, picked to lead the line again from corner forward.
