IT’S HARD TO tell if there was a deliberate bite, but I think we can safely say there was a deliberate punch.
Mount Albert player Dion Snell somehow managed to stay on the pitch in this game in New Zealand, after throwing a ferocious haymaker to the face of Papakura’s George Edwards.

The reason? He claims Edwards bit his finger.
Edwards had carried a ball forward from deep when he was tackled by a couple of Mount Albert players, one of which was Snell.
Snell then pushed his hand into the face of Edwards to slow him from getting up, before quickly pulling back his hand when he felt contact with Edwards teeth.
After gently slapping Edwards, Snell then stood up, turned around, before unleashing a horrific punch to Edwards’ face, cutting his opponent above the eye.
Somehow, despite the clear punch, Snell avoided a card from the referee, although he hasn’t avoided punishment completely as the incident was put on report by the referee.
