AS EXPECTED, BRAZILIAN-BORN Spanish international Diego Costa will play for Chelsea next season.
The Premier League club today announced they had reached an agreement with Atletico Madrid for the 25-year-old striker.
Chelsea issued a short statement saying they had met the buy-out clause in Costa’s contract with the La Liga champions, a reported €40 million (£32 million).
Costa has already passed a medical with the London club last month and so, with today being the first day of the transfer window, the Blues have wasted little time in getting the man Jose Mourinho wanted.
