LESS THAN A week after her appointment to the board at Mansfield Town FC, twenty-nine year-old Carolyn Still has become embroiled in her first tabloid scandal.
A report by Tom Wells in today’s Sun suggests that Still, the youngest chief executive in English football, worked as an escort for nearly a decade, only leaving the profession last year.
“The money she earned is believed to have gone to pay off debts…
“This time she worked under the name “Brooke” and received rave reviews from punters who hired her for hours at a time. Last night the shocked soccer executive did not deny our story when we put it to her.
Instead she told the Sun: ‘I haven’t had a hunky-dory life at all. I don’t even know what to say. For me, it’s just very overwhelming.’”
These latest allegations, if true, are only likely to reignite press speculation surrounding the nature of her relationship with the club’s chairman, John Radford (45).
The chief executive has been reluctant to dismiss claims that she and Radford, the board member responsible for her shock appointment, are in the early stages of a romantic relationship, saying only that she “does not believe it appropriate at this stage to comment.”
