I’M NOT EXACTLY sure how a single misplaced keystroke can lead to a photo you intended to delete being forwarded to everyone you know, but you know what?

I’m going to throw my journalistic instincts to the wind and just go with this.

The Daily Mail reports that noted fan of hair gel Cristiano Ronaldo received some revealing pictures of a “very attractive” Dutch admirer last week, and while trying to erase them, forwarded the snaps to every contact in his address book.

An unnamed source described the player as “mortified”.

“He’s had to explain she is just a fan who had sent him some pictures and that he made a mistake by sending them on instead of removing them,’ the Mirror source continued.

“He is embarrassed about the whole thing and is particularly mortified at passing the email on to Irina.”

“Irina” in this case is Irina Shayk, cover star of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition 2011 and Ronaldo’s fiancee of several months.

Embarrassing? Undoubtedly. Not quite up there with Sam Matterface’s epic Twitter misstep, though.
