THE NEW YORK Yankees last night announced the team will start wearing a new badge from September 7 to honour captain Derek Jeter as he plays out the final season of his career.
It means that from September 7 – which will be known as Derek Jeter Day – Jeter will wear a badge on both his uniform and his hat honouring, well, himself.

As part of Derek Jeter Day, #Yankees will wear a patch depicting Jeter’s final season logo on the left sleeve of their uniform and cap.
