Dereck Chisora slapped with indefinite ban for David Haye brawl

The British pair fought during a press conference after Chisora’s WBC title defeat to Vitali Klitschko on February 18.

DISGRACED HEAVYWEIGHT DERECK Chisora has been banned indefinitely from boxing following his brawl with David Haye in Munich.

The British pair fought during a press conference after Chisora’s WBC title defeat to Vitali Klitschko on February 18. Chisora also slapped Klitschko in the build up to the bout and spat water at the face of his younger brother Wladimir.

The World Boxing Council said Chisora must undergo anger management treatment before his suspension is reviewed.

“The WBC is imposing a serious fine to be finally determined after a hearing to be held under the supervision of our counsel representative attorney Stephen Beverly,” the organisation said in a statement.

“The WBC will … declare an indefinite suspension against fighting again for a WBC title while demanding Chisora take an anger management medical treatment after which his suspension will be reconsidered.”
