Higuain agrees terms with Arsenal: The Gunners look to have won the race to bring in a proven world class goalscorer in Gonzalo Higuain. The Real Madrid frontman has reportedly accepted the personal terms offered by Londoners and is close to sealing a move to the Premier League.

Mikel set to leave Chelsea: Nigerian midfielder Jon Obi Mikel may have played his last game for Chelsea after being quoted as saying he feels it is time to move on. The 26-year-old has been with the club since 2006 but could be off to Galatasaray after taking advice from former team-mate Didier Drogba.

Palermo wrap up Lafferty deal: Northern Ireland international Kyle Lafferty is on his way to Italy in one of the most surprising moves of the summer. The Rangers striker will undergo a medical today before joining the Serie B side, who have just been taken over by former Gers midfielder Gennaro Gattuso.

Napoli join race for Suarez: Having revealed that he wants out of Liverpool, Luis Suarez is believed to be a target of Napoli. Now managed by Rafael Benitez, the Italians will have to battle it out with a number of clubs which may or may not include Real Madrid.

Gervinho returning to France? Marseille are said to be keen on bringing in Arsenal’s much-criticised Gervinho. The Ivorian had a difficult season with the Gunners and may be up for a return to Ligue 1, where he last played with Lille.

Spurs wants Benteke and McCarthy: Tottenham will look to bolster their squad in the coming weeks and a striker is top of the list. Belgian forward Benteke hit 19 goals in his debut season at Aston Villa. Irish midfielder James McCarthy is also on their radar and is likely to leave his club Wigan after their relegation to the Championship.
