THE NEW BUNDESLIGA season kicked off last night and for Borussia Monchengladbach defender Alvaro Dominguez, it was a horrible first day back at the office.

Monchengladbach trailed champions Bayern Munich 2-1 when the Spaniard conceded a penalty for a handball inside the box.

His blushes were spared when goalkeeper Marc-André ter Stegen palmed away Thomas Muller’s spot kick but as he rushed to clear the rebound, no doubt desperate to make amends, Dominguez handled the ball a second time and conceded another penalty.

This time David Alaba made no mistake, giving Bayern a 3-1 win.
