Red Sox baseball star annihilates phone after striking out

“I don’t play that,” said David Ortiz after he lost the absolute rag during his side’s victory.

BOSTON RED SOX star David Ortiz was so peeved at what he deemed to be dubious strike-out calls that he piled into an unfortunately placed dug-out phone.

The slugger took exception to striking out, with his team leading the Baltimore Orioles 7-2 [they won 7-3], that he bashed the phone to smithereens. Ortiz had to be restrained by Red Sox coaches and teammates.

Speaking to reporters, including one from Fox Sports, post-match, ‘Big Papi’ said, “I don’t pitch, I don’t play defence, I hit. You’re not going to take my at-bat away from me. Period.”

He reasoned that he did not lose his cool every match but admitted that he may have ‘looked like the bad guy’.
