DAVID MEYLER HAD nothing left in the tank by the end of yesterday’s FA Cup semi-final but can’t wait for another day out at Wembley.

The Tigers twice fell behind in the first half as this season’s surprise package Sheffield United looked to cause another upset before goals from Meyler and fellow Ireland midfielder Stephen Quinn both saw them run out 5-3 winers.

Hull will now take on Arsenal on their first ever FA Cup final appearance on 17 May and the midfielder, who has made 35 appearances in all competitions this term, is hoping to end the season on a high.

“It was nice to score but, to be honest, I think we’re all a little bit disappointed with how we played in the first half more than anything else,” Meyler told the club’s website.

The manager is always saying that we’ll give him a heart attack and we nearly gave it to him on Sunday, but our class shone through in the end.

“I was running on empty, I worked my backside off, but we got through in the end,” he added.

“We’ve got an FA Cup Final to look forward to and five games in the league. Let’s make it a fantastic season.”
