Cavan's David Givney completes transfer to Dublin's Ballymun Kickhams

The 2013 Sigerson Cup winner has made the switch.

CAVAN AND ULSTER midfielder David Givney has completed a transfer to Dublin club Ballymun Kickhams.

The 24 year-old former DIT student and Sigerson Cup winner has made the transfer to the capital from his native Mountnugent in Cavan for what’s believed to be “work related” reasons.

“It was definitely something that was being talked about,” explained Cavan PRO Declan Woods. ”I can confirm that the transfer has taken place officially with all the paper work having been finalised.”

The 24-year-old played at midfield in Cavan’s recent Ulster quarter final defeat to Armagh, scoring two points, and he is expected to resume a similar role in the qualifier clash with Westmeath the weekend after next.

Givney will join the 2013 All-Ireland club finalists and provide a major boost to their side.
