Ireland number one David Forde has signed a new contract to stay at Millwall

“My dream is to play in the Premier League. I’ve always said that dream would be with Millwall.”

DAVID FORDE WANTS to make his Premier League dreams come true at Millwall.

Ireland’s number one put pen to paper today on a new three-year deal which will keep him at the Den until 2017.

The contract was signed just hours after Forde arrived back at the club following his three-week stint away with Ireland.

And the 34-year-old said: “My dream is to play in the Premier League. I’ve always said that dream would be with Millwall.”

Forde has been at Millwall since 2008 but negotiations over his future dragged on as the Lions fought for Championship survival at the end of last season.

They left it until the final day to beat the drop but Forde feels that they’re a club on the rise under manager Ian Holloway.

“I really feel that there is something starting to bubble here again,” he told the official club website.

We’ve managed to get promoted into the Championship and sustained that for a few years.

“I think it’s a real stage of progression, building on that and really moving forward.”
