David Beckham can't believe it as he sees red in France

The Englishman’s sending off was for a sterner challenge than the flick that earned him marching orders at World Cup ’98 in the same country.

PARIS SAINT GERMAIN moved one step closer to claiming the French Ligue 1 title but their 1-0 win was marred by a mass brawl in injury time.

The melee was sparked by a reckless, studs up challenge by PSG midfielder David Beckham on Youssef Adnane. The former Manchester United and Real Madrid star made a minimal connection with the Evian defender but the dangerous intent of his actions was enough to merit a sending off.

Tensions boiled over both on the pitch, where a 40-man brawl ensued, and off as PSG assistant coach Claude Makele was ordered from the touchline. Beckham was off the pitch as spat kicked off. PSG secured the win through a Javier Pastore goal on 50 minutes and are now nine points clear of second-place Marseilles.
