Darron Gibson facing a month on the sidelines, says Everton boss David Moyes

The Ireland midfielder is suffering from a thigh strain again.

EVERTON WILL BE without Darron Gibson for a month after the midfielder was sidelined by a thigh strain, manager David Moyes says.

The Ireland international missed yesterday’s 2-1 defeat at home to Chelsea. Afterwards Moyes said he expected the player to be out for a while and he’s today confirmed it’ll be longer than first expected.

“I think he’s going to be out for about four weeks,” said Moyes today in his pre-game press conference.

The 25-year-old spent more than two months on the sidelines earlier in the season with a similar problem.

Meanwhile, Gibson’s countryman Seamus Coleman has penned a five-year deal at Goodison.
