GORDON D’ARCY RETURNS to the Leinster line-up for Saturday’s Heineken Cup Round 2 clash against Llanelli Scarlets at Parc y Scarlets.
The Wexford man earns his 209th cap alongside Brian O’Driscoll. D’Arcy is the most capped player in Leinster’s history, having overtaken Shane Horgan three weeks ago, and he will equal Horgan’s European appearance record of 87 against the Welsh side.
D’Arcy’s inclusion is one of only two from last weekend’s lacklustre victory over Exeter Chiefs, with Sean Cronin coming into the front rown after coming on as a second half replacement last week.
Cronin replace Richardt Strauss, who drops down to the bench, while Andrew Conway is also named among the replacements this time around.
Fergus McFadden, switching to the wing, is named in a back three along with Isa Nacewa and Ian Madigan.
Leinster team v Scarlets: Madigan; McFadden, O’Driscoll, D’Arcy, Nacewa; Sexton, Reddan; Healy, Cronin, Ross; Cullen (c), Browne; McLaughlin, Jennings, Heaslip.Replacements: Strauss, van der Merwe, Hagan, Toner, Murphy, Boss, Conway, Carr.
