Daniel Sturridge could be fit for Liverpool's game this weekend

One half of the ‘SAS’ limped off injured during Sunday’s win over Manchester City.

LIVERPOOL HAVE BEEN a given a boost with the news that Daniel Sturridge could be fit for Sunday’s trip to Norwich.

The Reds took a huge step towards their first Premier League title in 24 years by beating Manchester City last weekend but were left to count the cost when Sturridge limped off injured after 66 minutes.

A scan confirmed that the striker has a “small strain” and Liverpool said today that they will give him “every opportunity to prove his fitness” ahead of the trip to Carrow Road.

The Reds are currently two points clear of Chelsea at the top of the table with Manchester City, who have played two games less, a further five points back in third.
