Cork hand Daniel Goulding first start of the season

The Cork hurling and Tyrone football sides have also been named for this weekend’s clashes.

CORK’S DANIEL GOULDING makes his first start of the season in Sunday’s National Football League Division 1 clash against Kerry.

After spending the opening weeks of the campaign in the recovery room following knee surgery, Goulding comes in to Conor Counihan’s starting XV as one of two changes from the side which beat Donegal.

The Eire Óg man came off the bench last weekend but with Colm O’Neill cruelly ruled out with yet another recurrence of his cruciate injury, Goulding slots in at corner-forward for the trip to Tralee.

At full-back Eoin O’Mahony starts in place of Eoin Cadogan who is ruled out with an ankle injury. Donncha O’Connor is unavailable due to a long-term Achilles’ problem while Ciarán Sheehan and Patrick Kelly are also on the injured list.

Throw-in at Austin Stack Park is at 2pm.

Cork (SF v Kerry): Ken O’Halloran (Bishopstown); Michael Shields (St Finbarr’s), Eoin O’Mahony (Macroom), Jamie O’Sullivan (Bishopstown); Paudie Kissane (Clyda Rovers), Noel O’Leary (Cill na Martra), Tomás Clancy (Fermoy); Aidan Walsh (Kanturk), Graham Canty (Bantry Blues); Fintan Goold (Macroom), Mark Collins (Castlehaven), Andrew O’Sullivan (Castletownbere); Daniel Goulding (Eire Og), Barry O’Driscoll (Nemo Rangers), Paul Kerrigan (Nemo Rangers).

JIMMY BARRY-MURPHY has named an unchanged side for Sunday’s Division 1A HL tie against Galway in Pearse Stadium.

With defender Stephen McDonnell and attacker Jamie Coughlan continuing to be ruled out through injury, the Rebels have stuck with the side that started in last Saturday night’s loss to Clare.

Cork (SH v Galway): Anthony Nash (Kanturk); Shane O’Neill (Bishopstown), Brian Murphy (Bride Rovers), Conor O’Sullivan (Sarsfields); Christopher Joyce (Na Piarsaigh), Patrick Cronin (Bishopstown), William Egan (Kilbrin); Daniel Kearney (Sarsfields), Lorcan McLoughlin (Kanturk); Cian McCarthy (Sarsfields), Paudie O’Sullivan (Cloyne), Seamus Harnedy (St Ita’s); Stephen Moylan (Douglas), Peter O’Brien (Kildorrery), Patrick Horgan (Glen Rovers)

PATRICK MCNIECE AND Conor McAliskey return to the Tyrone starting line-up for Sunday’s Division 1 FL trip to face fellow high-flyers Kildare in Newbridge.

McNeice and McAliskey both came off the bench in the Red Hand’s win against Dublin last week and Mickey Harte rewards their contribution by including them in three changes to his side.

The other sees Ryan McKenna of Eaglais come in at wing-back in place of Justin McMahon, who drops to the bench.

Throw-in is at 2.30pm.

Tyrone (SF v Kildare): Niall Morgan (Edendork); Aidan McCrory (Errigal Ciaran), Conor Gormley (Carrickmore), Cathal McCarron (Dromore); Ryan McKenna (Eaglais), Joe McMahon (Omagh), Ronan McNamee (Aghyaran); Colm Cavanagh (Moy), Sean Cavanagh (Moy); Patrick McNiece (Coalisland), Peter Harte (Errigal Ciaran), Matthew Donnelly (Trillick); Conor McAliskey (Clonoe), Stephen O’Neill (Clann na nGael), Mark Donnelly (Carrickmore).
