Liverpool's Daniel Agger open to Barcelona move

An offer of £14.6million for Agger has been turned down by Anfield chiefs.

LIVERPOOL DEFENDER Daniel Agger may be interested in a move to Barcelona should the La Liga champions reach an agreement with his club.

Barcelona have been linked with several Premier League defenders in the off-season, including Agger and Chelsea centre-back David Luiz.

An offer of £14.6million for Agger has been turned down by Liverpool and the Denmark international’s agent Per Steffensen said a move would only be considered if Brendan Rodgers’ side accepted a bid.

“We are aware that Barcelona have made an offer for Daniel that Liverpool have rejected,” he said. “Daniel has a contract with Liverpool for the next three years and it would be up to the clubs to agree a fee for his transfer in order for that to change.”

Barcelona may not make another offer for Agger as they continue their chase of Luiz, who remains their number one target.
