Leandro Damiao was caught on camera pulling his own jersey in a crafty attempt to win a penalty for his team Santos.
The incident occured last Sunday during Santos’ 3-0 defeat against Criciuma.
Globo reports that a Brazilian sports tribunal yesterday charged Damiao with trying to con the referee.
The former Tottenham Hotspur target denies the allegation and insisted instead that he was straightening the jersey because it was bothering him.
