Chamakh’s second-half strike came after Barry Bannan had whipped in a dangerous cross that was only partially cleared by Ben Turner. Cameron Jerome had opened the scoring for Tony Pulis’ side after six minutes of play.
The result sees Palace on 13 points and in 18th place in the league. They remain behind West Ham, who lost 4-1 to Liverpool today, due to an inferior goal difference.

Norwich City are up to 13th in the league after an impressive 2-0 away win over West Brom. Chris Hughton’s side hit the front on 13 minutes after Gary Hooper stabbed home a Leroy Fer cross.
Shane Long came on for the Baggies at half-time and went close with a header in the closing stages. However a goal was not forthcoming for the home side and the Canaries extended their advantage late in the piece.
Norwich streamed forward on the break and Fer was given the freedom of the WBA box before slotting home well.
