AFTER THE DRAMATIC build-up, it’s finally upon us.

Kingston's Cork and McGrath's Waterford go head-to-head in Croke Park.

Hampered for weeks by the uncertainty surrounding Tadhg de Búrca’s participation in the semi-final, it was all put to bed in the early hours of Friday morning as the DRA confirmed the ban and his subsequent absence.

The Déise are now without their influential sweeper, but that’s something they’ll have put behind them at this stage. Derek McGrath’s side are bidding to book their first All-Ireland final spot since 2008.

Meanwhile Munster champions Cork — All-Ireland finalists in 2013 — will be relishing their chance to reignite the rivalry in Croke Park.

Kieran Kingston’s Rebels saw off Waterford on a scoreline of 0-23 to 1-15 to book their provincial final spot back in June.

This will be the 65th championship clash between the two counties.

Throw-in is 3.30pm, and the match will be broadcast live on RTÉ One and Sky Sports.
