CORK MANAGER JIMMY Barry-Murphy has made eight changes to his starting team ahead of Saturday evening’s Allianz Hurling League encounter against Laois in Portlaoise (7.00pm).
Following the 0-17 to 0-17 draw with Limerick last weekend, the Cork selectors have decided on personnel switches in most areas of the pitch. Ballymartle man Darren McCarthy gets the nod in goal, with Stephen McDonnell coming in at full back after recovering from injury.
That means Shane O’Neill reverts to left corner back, while Colm Spillane of Castlelyons is on the right. Midleton’s Paul Haughney has been chosen in midfield, as Seamus Harnedy, Alan Cadogan, Michael O’Sullivan and captain Patrick Cronin boost the attacking options for Cork.
Aidan Walsh and Eoin Cadogan are missing for the next two weekends due to commitments with the footballers, while Conor Lehane is out with a knee injury.
