After eight minutes both teams had raised a green flag apiece with Patrick Croinin grabbing one for Bishoptown. And it was his team who built a three point lead, and despite being drawn level at one point in the half, they quickly regained their lead to go in ahead at the interval.
Yet it took 30 more minutes before Bishopstown added an eighth score – being outscored 1-12 to 0-1 in that second period.
And it was that single goal on 52 minutes which entirely ended the game as a contest, Carbery’s second time to find a way past Cork county goalkeeper Ken O’Halloran.
They now await their first final after 108 years awating.
