Cork name two teams for weekend hurling clashes against UCC and Kerry

The Rebels have a busy 24-hour period in store.

CORK HURLING BOSS Kieran Kingston will get to test his squad this weekend after naming two teams for matches tomorrow and Sunday.

Tomorrow’s clash against UCC is in the annual Canon Michael O’Brien Cup while Sunday’s battle against Kerry in Fitzgerald Stadium is in the Munster senior hurling league.

Kingston has the chance to experiment as Cork’s preparations continue after last weekend’s opening game where they lost to Clare.

Several newcomers are offered the chance to impress while there’s seasonal debuts tomorrow for the likes of Anthony Nash, Shane O’Neill, Conor Lehane and Seamus Harnedy.

On Sunday, Aidan Walsh makes his 2016 bow and captains the team with Brian Lawton and Luke O’Farrell other established players in action.
