CORK CITY WERE given a heroes’ welcome home after their FAI Cup final victory over Dundalk on Sunday.
In front of a packed crowd at Grand Parade, the League of Ireland club celebrated their historic triumph.
The topic of the future of striker Sean Maguire was also brought up.
Maguire scored 29 goals for the Leesiders this season, including the winner in yesterday’s cup final.
However, the 22-year-old forward is out of contract now that the season has ended and manager John Caulfield admitted yesterday that he could choose to move on.
And tonight, when Maguire was asked about his future, teammate Steven Beattie mischievously grabbed the microphone and started a ‘don’t sell Maguire’ chant.
