Having only played Blackburn Rovers in a friendly yesterday, the Leesiders face fourth-placed Pat’s, who haven’t had a league fixture in over three weeks due to their involvement in the Europa League.

Earlier in the season, the sides played out a nil-all draw at Richmond Park and, on their official website, Cork boss Tommy said: “In our last game against St. Pat’s, we drew 0-0 after missing a penalty in the second half. I think the win was there for us on the day, but we did not take the chance when it presented itself.”
“Pat’s have been playing some really good football under Liam Buckley, so it should be a good game, with both sides looking to play. I am hoping that on Monday night we can go one better than a draw, as we have been leaving points behind us, particularly in the last few games.”
Saints manager Liam Buckley told StPatsfc.com: “We’re really looking forward to Monday’s game and we always like going to Cork because it’s one of the best grounds in the league.
The European thing was great while it last but it’s over now. What it gives us is an appreciation of how tough it is against really good teams but we acquitted ourselves well overall.
“We can learn from it and use the experience to get back into the mix in the league starting on Monday.
“Cork are a good side who are in decent form at the moment. They play a good style of football and if we both play well it should be a very good game.”
Team news
Cork make do without the services of Colin Healy (thigh), Graham McCarthy (ankle), Cathal Lordan (knee), Eoghan Murphy and Kevin Burns (both ankle).
Striker Keigan Parker is also suspended after being sent off on his league debut.
Pat’s have Mark Rossiter (knee), Stephen O’Flynn (rib) and Dean Kelly (groin) sidelined, while Jake Carroll is suspended.
