CORK CITY WILL play a Leeds United XI in Turner’s Cross next month as part of the club’s pre-season preparations.
The Championship side, who kept in the hunt for the play-off places with a 1-0 win against struggling Bristol City on Saturday, visit Leeside on Thursday 7 February. Kick-off is at 7.45pm.
With a league match against Wolves scheduled for 9 February, the United XI “is likely be a Development Squad team comprising of young professionals,” Leeds said today.
The friendly is to be sponsored by Cork Airport who last week renewed their partnership with City for the 2013 season.
