CORK CITY HAVE been beaten 1-0 by Genk in tonight’s Europa League third qualifying round first leg.

The SSE Airtricity League club fell behind on the half-hour mark to Leon Bailey’s well-hit strike.

18-year-old Jamaican winger Bailey, who has been linked with moves to the likes of Chelsea and Fiorentina in the past, was fed by team-mate Nikos Karelis before shooting under Cork goalkeeper Mark McNulty.

Anyone else slightly concerned about Mayo as a contender if they get Tommy Conroy and Ryan O D back from injury, Cillian o Connor back to full fitness and unearth another scoring forward.
