TWO GOALS FROM Danny Morrissey and one from Garry Buckley helped Cork City beat Kilbarrack United3-1 in the FAI Cup this evening at Turner’s Cross.
Morrissey opened the scoring in the first minute, handing the hosts the perfect start.

Cork’s less esteemed opponents managed to keep it at 1-0 until just after half-time, when Morrissey doubled his side’s advantage, before Buckley put the icing on the cake shortly thereafter.
Kilbarrack were partially rewarded for their efforts however, as James English grabbed a consolation with just over 20 minutes remaining.
Cork will face Sligo in the next round.
Meanwhile, in the EA Sports Cup semi-final, Drogheda United defeated Derry City3-1 at the Brandywell.
Declan O’Brien gave the visitors the lead after 12 minutes, before their opponents hit back through a 38th minute David McDaid effort.
David Cassidy then restored Drogheda’s lead on 66 minutes, before O’Brien got his second of the night, effectively sealing his side’s victory in the process.
