Conor McGregor explains how his 'trash talk' gives him an advantage

It’s fight week for ‘The Notorious.’

IRELAND’S CONOR MCGREGOR has become as notorious for his fast talking outside the Octagon as for his performances inside.

On Sunday the Dubliner looks to extend his UFC record to an unbeaten 5-0 in the main event at Boston’s TD Garden against Dennis Siver.

As anticipation builds, McGregor broke down the verbal side of his game in an interview with Fox Sports.

I believe my words will intimidate my opponent. American media label it trash talk; I label it speaking fact.

He added: “This is the fight business. People want to know what way we are thinking and what we are going to do to our opponent.

“I understand that this happens so I assess the situation and I speak fact.

“It’s real. If it’s not real, I won’t say it.”
