Conor McGregor may be fighting in front of 50,000 people in Melbourne next year

Next November’s huge event is set to be announced in the coming weeks.

CONOR MCGREGOR IS being considered by UFC president Dana White to headline UFC 193 at the 50,000 seater Etihad Stadium in Melbourne next year.

The event, which will take place on 15 November, is set to break all records currently held by the famed 2006 Anthony Mundine-Danny Green bout, and will be announced in the coming weeks according to the Australian Daily Telegraph.

The announcement comes about after the Victorian Labour government won power over the weekend, after vowing to scrap the ban on The Octagon cage used in UFC.

Under the previous Liberal government, mixed martial arts was allowed in Victoria but the eight-sided “cage” was banned.

McGregor’s next fight is against Denis Siver in the TD Garden in Boston next month, a bout for which he has opened as a huge 1/10 favourite.

All systems go for the UFC’s first European stadium show (sorry, it’s not Croker)
