It's official... Conor McGregor will face Cole Miller in Dublin this summer

The 25-year-old Dub will top the card at the O2 in July.

THE UFC HAVE confirmed tonight that home favourite Conor McGregor will take on Cole Miller at the Dublin event at the O2 in July.

The 25-year-old Irishman is currently regaining his fitness after undergoing knee surgery last September.

In March, it was revealed that MMA’s elite promotion was returning to Ireland for a second time after its debut here in January 2009.

Last night, five fights were confirmed on ‘Beyond the Octogon’; Gunnar Nelson, who is a team-mate of McGregor, Cathal Pendred and Chris Fields at SBG, will take on American Ryan LaFlare.

The unbeaten Icelandic welterweight (12-0-1), who calls Ireland his second home having first trained here at the age of 18 and fought here several times, has won his three UFC bouts to date — earning Performance of the Night against Omari Akhmedov at last month’s event in London.

Dubliner Neil Seery only made his UFC debut on 8 March and has been paired with Englishman Phil Harris.

Elsewhere, the man who defeated Seery, Brad Pickett, takes on Ian McCall, Tom Lawlor faces Ilar Latifi and Cody Donovan goes up against Nikita Krylov.

Tickets will go on general sale on 6 June (4 June for UFC Fight Club members and 5 June for newsletter members) and it is sure to be a sell-out.
