FORMER IRELAND UNDER 20 international Conor Gilsenan has agreed a move to Premiership side, London Irish.
The 21-year-old Leinster academy player from Mullingar is currently on loan with Connacht until the end of the season, but has not yet featured for Pat Lam’s side.
The back row was a Schools Cup champion with Clongowes Wood in 2010 and 2011. He has previously played a key role within impressive age grade sides and has represented both Connacht and Leinster at A level.
“I’m excited at the challenge of moving across to London Irish to play in the Premiership,” Gilsenan said in an Exiles statement today.

“It’s a competitive league with some great players and I feel it is the right time to make the move. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my time at Leinster and would like to thank everyone for what they have done for me during my time with the club.”
Irish have unveiled as part of a youthful couple of signings that also includes Leicester scrum-half Scott Steele, who said that London Irish: ”play a very quick brand of rugby which I feel will suit me and working alongside Tomás O’Leary will help develop my game further.”
