Just the 13 changes for Connacht ahead of home Challenge Cup opener

Pat Lam’s men are still thawing out after their prolonged trip to Siberia.

CONNACHT HAVE MADE 13 frontline changes from the team that started in Siberia last weekend with only 10 of the match day 23 not involved in the seven-day round trip to Russia.

Bundee Aki and Rory Parata are retained in the backline to face Brive while Jack Carty will start at 10, Ireland international Kieran Marmion getting the nod at scrum-half.

Tiernan O’Halloran will captain the side from fullback while Robbie Henshaw and Danie Poolman complete the backs.

In the front row, Jason Harris-Wright will make his season debut after returning from long-term injury and the hooker is joined up front by Ronan Loughney and Nathan White, the latter making his 50th appearance for the province.

Ben Marshall returns from injury to start in the second row alongside Andrew Browne while the back row is made up of Eoghan Masterson, Nepia Fox-Matamua, and Eoin McKeon.

Kick-0ff at the Sportsground is 5pm on Saturday.
