CONNACHT RECOVERED FROM a slow start to edge out Scarlets 14-8 at the Galway Sportsgrounds on Saturday evening.
Pat Lam’s side were caught cold by the Scarlets, who came blistering out of the blocks with a penalty and try in the opening minutes to take a 8-0 lead before several of the Connacht players had even managed to get a touch of the ball.
Jack Carty kicked two penalties either side of the interval to reduce the deficit before a superb individual try from Matt Healy completed the turnaround.

Another penalty from the boot of out-half Carty created daylight between the sides as Connacht recorded their sixth win of the Pro12 season.
The Westerners currently lie in sixth place in the standings, level on points with Glasgow Warriors.
