CONNACHT WILL BE without influential hooker Tom McCartney as well as Ronan Loughney and Stacey Ili until next season.
The western province meet Leinster, Scarlets and Munster in the last three fixtures in their reign as champions, with Pat Lam’s side also on course for a play-off that offers the chance of filling the final place in next year’s Champions Cup.

McCartney, who will be eligible to play for Ireland in November, is set for surgery on an ankle injury sustained in the win over Edinburgh. Ili will also undergo ankle surgery for an issue picked up in the loss to Zebre. Loughney was under the knife last week for an arm injury that occurred in training.
On the positive side of the ledger, Lam can welcome back James Connolly and Darragh Leader after both have recovered from hamstring trouble.
JP Cooney is nursing a shoulder injury since the weekend win in Scotland and will be monitored while the team prepares for Leinster’s visit to the Sportsground on Saturday.
